• On July 20, 2013 I went to an event that featured Chad Calek and the cast of "A Blood Red Sky" When I got there I didn't quite know what to expect. Was this going to be a total flop or was it going to blow our minds away.

• We found our seats (general seating) and made ourselves comfortable.  This was going to be a 6 hour event so we had better get comfortable.  After about a 20 minute wait(we were early) Chad Calek came out and introduced himself to us.  He talked a little about his history with film and with ghost hunting.  He then turned out attention to a few short clips of A Paranormal State, a tv show that dealt with the paranormal and one that he directed.  He had many interesting views and excerpts from the tv show.  ~~A sidenote to the show...my friend had turned her cell phone ringer to 'off' before he started this event.  But for some reason her cell decides to ring as if someone was trying to call or text  her.  She swears that she did turn it off and I also witnessed her turning it off.~~

• After he gave an intro to the history of the movie 'A Blood Red Sky' we took a 15 minute intermission break.  We came back and he started the movie.  This was a very interesting and thought provoking film.  Without going into details(let the cat out of the bag) it changed how I perceive reality and how reality is perceived by others.

Ghosts...they take many shapes, sizes and energy forms.  They can appear full on as if they were still in physical to being an orb form that is free floating.   There are many theories and beliefs among paranormal enthusiasts as to why they are still with us in any form.  Some say they are 'stuck' in between this world(living) and moving on to 'heaven' to continue their journeys.   Others say they are not 'stuck' but have a willingness to be among the living again and being that they are completely made up of energy, this makes it much easier to move about between our reality and theirs.    I believe that ghosts or spirits have freewill just like they had in life.  If you hear of a haunted place with the same spirits haunting the area then there is a reason for them to be there such as unfinished business that the spirit feels they need to take care of.  But they are not necessarily 'stuck' there against their will.

For some folks though they have a fear of ghosts or Phasmophobia.  Yes, there is a name for being afraid of ghosts.  I don't think this phobia pertains to someone who gets the chills by being in a darkened building but to someone is deathly afraid of anything having to do with spirit or ghosts.  They will 'freeze' in their tracks and won't be able to move when confronted with a possible ghost sighting or encounter or won't be able to even talk or think about the paranormal having to do with spirits.  I don't think I have this phobia myself.  I don't really like or want to be in a totally darkened building or for that matter a room in my own home but I don't go into panic attacks when I do have that ghostly feeling that someone is watching me that I can't see.    

With my many encounters with ghosts/spirits in the past 20 years I don't remember having any bad experiences with the exception of one time with spirit.  I have kept a positive outlook in regards to the paranormal and I believe this positive attitude has kept me out of 'trouble' with spirit so far.  The future may hold other experiences but for now, I am safe with it all.
